What is your inclement weather policy?
During times of inclement weather, we will make every attempt to be open for our families. As a general rule, if the Seattle Public School District is closed or running on a two hour delay, we will plan to close or open accordingly so that our staff has time to get their own children situated and get to Inicio Playschool safely. We will post our closures and delays on Brightwheel.

What is the tuition and do you have any other fees?
There is a $250.00 (non-refundable) registration fee to hold your spot once you fill out the enrollment forms. First month’s tuition will be due when you accept an open position and sign the enrollment contract. Tuition is paid in twelve equal installments, due at the beginning of each month. Monthly tuition for 2024-25 school year is: Infants: $3,270; Toddlers: $2,670 and Preschoolers: $2,370. There is an annual $200.00 enrollment fee to process paperwork and filings for WA State compliance purposes.
Can you share other pertinent program information?
We are a play based, full day program, Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. We have two drop-off/pick-up schedules: 8 AM to 5 PM and 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. We offer preschool and childcare services for children ages 3 months to 6 years. Healthy meals (breakfast, snack and hot lunch) prepared onsite are included in the tuition. We strive of at-least two hours of outside time, rain or shine. Our outside playground is Gilman Playground, right across the street from us.
How many days a year are you closed?
While this can change, at this time for calendar year 2026 and remainder of 2025, our holiday closure schedule is as follows:

Veteran’s Day: Tuesday, November 11
Thanksgiving: Early Close on Wednesday, November 26 at 4:00 PM, Closed: Thursday November, 27 and Friday, November, 28
Winter Break: Early Close on Tuesday, December 24 at 4:00 PM, Closed: Thursday December 25 through December 31st , 2025.
